We have been going to Oversees Imports for over 20 years. The service has been excellent. As a woman, I find Rob (owner) to be respectful and honest. For example, I recently got an oil change while on vacation. Soon afterwards I noticed smoke and a bad odor and noise coming from under the hood. I figured it was probably going to be a serious and expensive repair. Imagine my delight when, after dropping off the car, we got a call in about 30 minutes that it was ready! It turned out that the technician who changed the oil had neglected to replace the cap! Oversees cleaned up the mess and we were on our way. It is hard to find honest mechanics and I feel that Oversees is the right place to bring your car for any service. They will do what they need to, not tell you a million other things you "should" do.

Anyone can have a bad experience with auto repairs and usually does but after a recent experience of mine where two shops told me that I needed to replace the pump for my top at a cost of $2650.00 for the pump alone and Overseas has the top fixed and me back on the road in about 45 minutes for less than 80 bucks imagine my delight and also my scepticism about the posted complaint. The mechanic was just too good to be working in such a "bad shop".

I've told Overseas Imports and their owner, Rob, myself: I've had 11 different cars in 25 years and not had such bad service/quality control of a car repair shop - ever. After 3 years of ownership my Jaguar XK8 turned into a lemon - which is NOT their fault, and I had to have major repairs done (instrument cluster, tensioners, hydraulic system, roof pump etc). Not a single repair was done satisfactorily. Each time I had to go back - sometime twice - because they forgot to tighten a screw, a bulb was missing, a cover was left loose under the hood, the wind blocker was missing (!), and other annoying details. The most disturbing part is their attitude, lack of customer response, obvious attempts to make up stories about what happened (including blaming it on the customer), and seemingly total lack of quality control. I could share many details inspired by the many bills I have (luckily most of it was covered by warranty), but I just want to WARN everybody about this ???specialty store???, which unfortunately enjoys an oligopolic market position and knows it. Go to Rosenthal and pay a bit more.
